About the orchestra
Our story
Founded in 2017 by its director Aliro Núñez Santibáñez, who composes and arranges the music performed by the orchestra.
Its entire repertoire is based on traditional genres of the Americas, though one of the orchestra's distinctive traits is its harmonic and rhythmic treatment of contemporary musical styles.
Its instrumentation is based mainly on instruments native to the American continent, with special emphasis on those of pre-Columbian origin.
